Hello Everyone,
With the summer holidays just around
the corner, there is one invaluable item of clothing that both girls and guys
need to make sure they have in their wardrobe: the swimming costume. Wherever
you are going this year (ok, maybe not the UK, based on the current weather
situation) you will probably need your bathers. And if you haven’t got last
year’s pair out of the cupboard yet, you might be in for a nasty shock.
Your holiday is the one time of year
you really can treat yourself. So, if last years trunks are looking a bit worse
for wear, then why not go online and get yourself a new pair? There are so many
to choose from online, with lots of top brands turning their attention to
men’s swimwear this
season.
There are so many to choose from that
it might not be easy to choose just one pair; in which case, you should just
get two or three and be done with it. It might sound a bit extravagant but if
you’re going on a beach holiday or planning on spending all day lounging around
by the pool, you don’t want to be wearing the same thing the whole time.
Also, it’s worth remembering that most
men’s swimming stuff also doubles up as regular shorts (the ladies aren’t quite
so lucky, although some costumes and bikinis make nice tops). Lads can just
throw on a pair of trunks with a T-shirt and some flip flops, and they are
pretty much prepared for any eventuality. If you do fancy a dip or if stumble
across an irresistible beach, off comes the shirt and in you get.
One word of caution though – this
approach does not work if you’re opting for a pair of fitted trunks. They’re
making waves in the world of men’s swimwear at the moment but they’re only appropriate
by the pool or on the beach. These figure hugging shorts look fabulous in the
right context, but are a little too risqué for a restaurant or beach bar.
Whatever choice of swimwear you go for,
you need to make the most of your holiday this summer. Most of us only get to
go away once or twice a year if we’re lucky. The rest of the time we work hard,
so we owe it to ourselves and our underused swimwear, to have a good time.
